Differences between Inexperienced and Experienced Staff in Risk Management Competencies in Acute Care Hospitals

Abstract

Acute care hospitals handle a large amount of information due to the need to integrate medical information and physiotherapy knowledge. There is concern that the inexperienced may overlook information and neglect risk management due to a lack of physiotherapy assessment items. Risk management is essential for autonomous care in acute care hospitals, and effective and efficient post-graduate education is required at hospitals. Unilateral presentation of the necessary information and evaluation items may lead to a decline in Inexperienced' clinical reasoning ability. Therefore, to identify differences in the information gathering process between inexperienced and experienced in order to understand the appropriate areas of support for inexperienced.
